Wood is a natural product. Structure, grain and absorption behavior differ from element to element. As a result, the color may differ slightly from the images shown after painting. Screen displays can also distort color nuances. These natural differences are due to the material and do not constitute a quality defect.
Wood contains natural resins and ingredients. When these resins escape, paint coats may flake off or change their appearance in places. This is a typical property of wood. In such cases, repainting may be necessary to maintain a uniform appearance.
Wooden elements should only be painted when dry. Do not paint when the wood is damp, not in direct sunlight and not below 5 degrees Celsius. In strong sunlight, the paint dries too quickly before it can penetrate the wood sufficiently. Suitable weather conditions are crucial for a long-lasting result.
Depending on the location, weather and use, a maintenance coat may be advisable. We recommend lightly sanding the surface before repainting. An annual coat of paint is not absolutely necessary - maintenance is carried out as required and according to personal preference. This ensures that the wood remains protected and visually appealing in the long term.
